Autobiography and diary, ca. 1844-1855.

Handwritten autobiography and diary. The diary starts in 1847. Boyle grew up in Virginia and joined the Mormon Church. He lived in Nauvoo, Illinois, joined the "Mormon Battalion" to serve in the war with Mexico (1846-1848), settled in Ogden, Utah, and went on missions for the Mormon Church in Virginia and California.

Mormon pioneer and missionary. Boyle grew up in Virginia and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He live in Nauvoo, Illinois, joined the "Mormon Battalion" to serve in the war with Mexico (1846-1848), settled in Ogden, Utah, and went on roughly fourteen missions in various places in the United States.
